February 21, 2012: Rising gas prices making it difficult to figure out a good estimate for future projects. With talks of the US seeing $5.00 a gallon by midsummer the construction industry struggles to provide customers with an accurate bid. Diesel costs is one the most highly influential items in the construction industry. Diesel prices affect material, supplies, and labor costs. Many construction companies are considering adding a FUEL SURCHARGE to all of their bills, only increasing the costs of building.

January 19, 2012: Happy New Year! It’s been a great start to the New Year here at PBM. We have been busy and are really looking forward to all our upcoming projects.  

December 12, 2011: We at PBM would like to say thank you to all of our employees and our valued customers. It is hard to believe that another year has passed. Since 1981 we have been moving buildings and have valued every customer, every job, and every experience. We are grateful that we have been able to meet our customers’ needs for so many years and look forward to many more. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

November 28, 2011: Any time a home is lifted off of its foundation an asbestos survey must be completed. Asbestos became increasingly popular among manufacturers and builders in the late 19th century because of its sound absorption, average tensile strength, and its resistance to fire, heat, electrical and chemical damage. It is now banned from being used and is believed to have harmful effects. Asbestos survey and abatement is an important step in any house moving and/or foundation repair job.

November 7, 2011: Looks like more snow is heading towards Denver this afternoon. Reminder to homeowners as the winter season arrives to clean out your gutters to allow for proper drainage of melting snow.

September 22, 2011: Professional Building Movers has completed another Cherry Creek mobile school building move. We were up early this morning relocating the building to Aurora Colorado.

August 30, 2011: Good Times in Denver, off Federal and Alameda, gets a new home in Colorado Springs thanks to the team at Professional Building Movers. Another great building move!

April 2011: In March Professional Building Movers teamed up with the Weitz Co. and the City of Aurora to relocate the historic Coal Creek School House. This 1920s building was moved to Delaney Farms where it will help children better understand education when Aurora was a farming  community. The historic move was covered by the Denver Post  in this VIDEO and ARTICLE. CBS 4 News also wrote this ARTICLE.  This was a great project to be a part of.  We are always happy when we can help preserve Colorado’s history.

March 2011: We would be happy to give you a free  estimate for all structural moves. We will look at the site where the building’s located, access to the property, the building’s dimensions, the moving route, transportation permits, access, terrain, and city/county requirements.

February 2011:  We can perform excavation site work for buildings up to 30,000 square feet, including custom homes.  We have done excavation for many custom homes throughout the Denver Metro Area and would be happy to provide you with referrals.

January 2011: As part of our building moving services, we can disconnect and reconnect the water and sewer lines.

December  2010: When we incorporated Professional Building Movers in 1981, the Colorado Department Of Transportation (CDOT) was auctioning off houses in the Colorado Springs area for $13,000. The homes needed to be moved out of the way of the I-25 expansion, and we relocated dozens of them for their new owners.

November 2010: Moving buildings is an eco-friendly solution in the construction industry. No construction materials go into a landfill, nothing new needs to be produced, and the “recycled” buildings can last decades or centuries in their new locations.
